After breakfast drive to Bagamoyo from Dar es Salaam.
Bagamoyo is a small town but rich in culture and history. Located 75 km north of Dar es Salaam the town is the former capital to Tanganyika. Bagamoyo is said to mean “Here I lay down my heart” a cry of desperation of slaves, as it was the last stop-over before being transported to the slave market in the spice island of Zanzibar.
The town boasts of the beginning of the Catholic Church in East Africa. Early Arab traders and other explores like Burton, Speke, Stanley and Livingstone and other missionaries all used the port of Bagamoyo. About 5 kms to the south, at Kaole, are ruins of coral mosque as well as graves and houses dating back to the 13 th century.

After arrival at Bagamoyo start tour of the culture and historical sites, Lunch at a hotel in the town, after lunch continue with the tour.
Late afternoon / evening drive back to Dar es Salaam. End of the tour.
