The route is relatively short, steep and scenic. It should be in mind that all the route have different view of Kilimanjaro and make it one of unique mountain with several views. Its possible to make it within 5 days but the Safari Tanzania recommended 6 days one for acclamatization. |

| Day 1: | After breakfast drive to Kilimanjaro National Park gate at Umbwe for starting the climb. From here hike within the forest through a narrow ridge between Umbwe and Lonzo rivers reach in Bivouac No. 1 known as Forest |

Caves at 2850 m - Camp, dinner and overnight. |
| Day 2: | The Path continues following the ridge, then leaving the forest through open moorlands to reach Barranco at 3950 m. Camp, dinner and overnight. |
| Day 3: | This day is for acclimatization and is highly recommended for the trekkers using this route. |
| Day 4: | This day starts off with a steep climb out of Barranco valley crossing Karanga Valley and finally reaching Barafu Camp at 4600 m. Camp, dinner and overnight. |
| Day 5: | Early morning start to reach the crater rim at Stella point, continuing to Uhuru Peak at 5895 m. Decend to Mweka Camp. |
| Day 6: | The day is spent in descending down to the park gates. Overnight at hotel. |
